Project 5: Religion and Environmental Issues

This project studies the contributions of Buddhism in finding solutions to environmental problems. The research is conducted from the perspective of Buddhist views on the environment and nature and the way of the Bodhisattva. Research results have so far been published in works such as "Contribution of Buddhism to Environmental Thoughts" by Suichi Yamamoto (The Journal of Oriental Studies Vol. 8, 144-173, IOP, 1998).
